Does the law require your child to use a seatbelt

Current car seat legislation requires that all children under 135cm or 12 years must use an appropriate child restraint. After this they can use an adult seat belt.

Never use a car seat in the front seat of a car fitted with a passenger side airbag. These are designed to protect adults but are potentially lethal for babies and small children.

Keep babies rear facing for as long as possible.
